Renal stones is a common urological problem in tropical countries. The stones can be in the kidney, ureter (passage from kidney to bladder), bladder and urethra. The symptoms may be :

Loin Pain, Abdominal Pain, Vomiting, Burning Sensation when Passing Urine, Frequent and or Urgent Urination, Fever etc.

Depending on the stone location and size we offer treatment such as

• Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) Ureteroscopy (Semi Rigid and Flexible)

• Per urethral / Percutaneous cystolithotripsy (for Bladder stones)

We have the State of the Art Holmium Laser Lithotripsy machine which can be used for breaking stones, the advantage being its capability of breaking all types of stones. Stone migration is minimal and can be used with flexible instruments enabling intra renal procedures without any scars.

Enlargement of prostate happens when men cross 45- 50 years of age and can cause problems while passing urine, symptoms being :

Delay in Initiation, Decreased Force, Frequency/ Urgency, Feeling of Incomplete Emptying, Night time Frequency (Nocturia), Recurrent Infection etc.

We offer both medical and surgical treatment for such patients.

Endoscopic Treatment for prostate is transurethral resection and we offer BIPOLAR SALINE resection which has significantly less side effects compared to regular monopolar TURP.

Blood in the urine can be due to varied reasons but one reason we don’t want to miss, is cancer! We run a hematuria clinic where patients with blood in the urine are evaluated with scans, cystoscopy and specialist consultation along with urine tests as deemed necessary.

This is involuntary loss of urine. Incontinence can be associated with activities which increase the abdominal pressure (like lifting weights, laughing, sneezing, getting up etc)- this type of incontinence is called Stress Incontinence.

At times urine leak is preceded by intense urge to pass urine-Urge Incontinence. Few patients can have a combination of both- mixed incontinence.

Evaluation and differentiating the two is important as treatment is different. Various treatment offered are :
