Doctor usually does a rectal examination by inserting a gloved and lubricated finger in to the rectum to feel for the prostate bumps if any or any other growth, swelling etc. It is a simple, quick and easy test. The other option is TRVS which is even more convenient but may increase the cost for such examination.
